PUPIL PREMIUM FUNDING 2018-2019
During the financial year April 2018 to March 2019 Kniveton Church of England (c) Primary School has been allocated £5280 in Pupil Premium Funding. This money is to support pupils who are currently on Free School Meals, or their parents have claimed them in the last six years. Each child is allocated £1320.For this financial year we have been funded for 4 pupils.
This funding has been allocated in the following ways:
Additional Teaching assistant time on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings to deliver the following:
Precision teaching programme in spelling in Class 3 for ½ hr weekly
Guided reading/ comprehension groups in Class 3 for one hour weekly
1:1 Maths intervention programme for one hour weekly
1:1 Writing sessions for 1 hour weekly
Support alongside the class teacher in Maths and English for 2.5 hours weekly
0.5 hours support for Phonics in Class.
1 hour support alongside the child in Class 1.
This equates to a cost of £3660
Each child and programme is closely monitored and progress checked to ensure maximum impact.
These intervention programmes are designed to narrow the gap if applicable or aim for exceeding with specific pupils.
We also organise Year 6 Booster sessions.
Mrs. Slack runs 24 hours of Maths ones on a Wednesday afternoon and Mrs. Board delivers English ones after school on a Thursday-14 hours. These ones are specifically designed to narrow the gap.
We have £300 to pay for any Pupil Premium child to attend school trips or residential at Whitehall, Edale or trips throughout the year if a family needs a helping hand financially .This ensures all our children can be fully included in all our visits.
